Saving Data in IDT Format
The command File/Save/IDT Format stores the current data and the state of the DataLab windows on a file. After choosing Save the user has to enter a file name. DataLab provides a default file name which can be accepted by clicking on OK. The native data files of DataLab have the extension .IDT which is automatically added even if another extension is entered. If the user enters a file name of an already existing file, the system issues a warning message and asks whether to change the file name, overwrite the existing file or cancel the Save command.
