Integration of Signals

Command: Tools -> Integration of Signals...

DataLab provides a simple and efficient tool to integrate signals. The tool assumes that the signal to be integrated is stored in a column of the data matrix. You can select the column to be integrated by the variable selection buttons.

The integration takes place between two boundaries which can be adjusted by dragging the boundary lines. The results of the integration (= the integrated signal) is displayed in the lower chart, its values can be copied into the matrix clipboard by clicking the button at the lower right corner.

Please note that there are three different modes of the baseline calculation. If a baseline is active, the baseline is subtracted from the signal before integrating it. In the automatic mode the baseline reference points are determined by the intersection of the boundaries and the signal curse. In the manual mode you can set the reference points to any location in the chart (drag the red dots appropriately).
