PCA - SummaryThe basic information on the current PCA is displayed in the Summary page. At the left it shows the table of principal components with the amount of variance represented by each component and the total variance for a given number of components. Right to it the scree plot (plot of logarithmic eigenvalues against the principal component number) is shown.
In the scree plot eigenvalues greater than 1.0 (for standardized variables), or eigenvalues with a cumulated sum below 98% (for non standardized variables) are indicated by red crosses, all other eigenvalues are shown by black crosses. This is to emphasize the importance of particular principal components. Please note that the eigenvalues are plotted on a logarithmic scale. |
