Preferences - Directories

Command: Setup > Preferences [Tab "Directories"]

The "Preferences" dialog allows to set user preferences and system options and is organized along several pages which can be selected by clicking the corresponding tab sheet:

Directories

Home Directory Defines the installation path of DataLab and cannot be edited (however, you can select the path and copy it to the Windows clipboard).
Working Directory Defines the path of the working directory which is used to store intermediary files.
Script Directory The script directory contains all scripts available to DataLab. Valid scripts are automatically registered during start-up of DataLab.
Scratch Directory Defines the path of the scratch directory which is used to store temporary files which are automatically deleted upon closing DataLab.
Python Directory Specifies the path where the Python subsystem is installed. This entry cannot be changed by the user.1)



1 Please note that DataLab automatically detects whether Python is installed on your system and sets this path accordingly during start-up. If more than one version of Python is installed, DataLab automatically selects the latest release.
