Transpose Data Matrix

Command:

Edit -> Transpose Data Matrix

The command Edit/Transpose Data Matrix transposes the working matrix, i.e. the row and column indexes are exchanged. This results in a matrix which has nCol rows and nRow columns (nCol and nRow are the number of columns and rows before the transpose command). Executing this command twice restores the original matrix if the matrix does not contain any categorical variables (see hint below).

Hint:

If the data table contains categorical (nominal or ordinal) variables, the values of these variables are converted into the corresponding ordinal numbers and are stored as interval-level data.
