Delete Data

Command: Edit -> Data -> Delete ->

Data can be deleted either column wise or row wise. All deleted columns/row are removed from the matrix, the remaining columns/rows are moved to fill up the gaps.

Columns Columns to be deleted can be selected by the object/variable selector. As an alternative columns may be deleted by using the context menu of the data editor.
Rows Rows to be deleted can be selected by the object/variable selector. Alternatively rows may be deleted by using the context menu of the data editor.
Marked Columns All columns are deleted which contain at least one marked cell.
Marked Rows All rows are removed which contain at least one marked cell.
Unmarked Columns All columns are deleted which do not contain any marked cells.
Unmarked Rows All rows are removed which do not contain any marked cells.

Hint: When deleting columns or rows DataLab can either resize the data matrix or fill the empty columns/rows with zero values. In order to control the particular behavior you have to set the program option "Adjust matrix size when deleting rows or columns".
